Principal at Bortmes Legal Services, LLC
Davida Bortmes, Esquire obtained her Bachelors Degree at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, a Public Honors College in History and Political Science. She then received her Juris Doctor (J.D) from Syracuse University School of Law. She also holds a Master’s Degree (M.A) in Early American History from Maxwell School of Citizenship from Syracuse University.
Ms. Bortmes is a practicing attorney, the Principal at Bortmes Legal Services, LLC. Ms. Bortmes’s areas of focus are in Criminal and Family Law, where she has 10 years of experience. With a strong foundational background in History and the American Legal System, she started her practice believing access to the Courts was fundamental to the protection of individual rights and for a more civil society. To that end, in addition to her practice, Ms. Bortmes also volunteers some of her time with various pro bono legal organizations in answering legal questions as well as representing those whose resources prevent them from obtaining adequate representation.
Assistant Vice President for M&T Bank
Tianya McMillan is an Assistant Vice President with M&T Bank. She is a 10 year veteran in the financial industry and specializes in commercial and retail banking. Throughout her tenure, she graduated from the Leadership Development Program at BB&T University, became a Certified Financial Center Leader, and later became a licensed agent with M&T Securities in Life and Health Insurance.
An alumni of Winston Salem State University, Tianya received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentrated focus in Management. She is committed to adding financial value to the lives of all commercial and consumer clients.
Tianya currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Prince George’s Child Resource Center, an active Board Member for the College of Business at Bowie State University, and an active member of the Women in Business Committee for the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce.
Tianya enjoys playing volleyball, cooking, motivational speaking, and spending time with her family. She firmly believes that all things are possible.
Director of Tax for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield
Wanda H. Moore is the Director of Tax for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in Owings Mills, MD. Wanda joined CareFirst in March 1990 as the Manager of Tax and was promoted to Director in 1995. Prior to joining CareFirst, Wanda was Tax Supervisor for Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, in Baltimore, Md.
Wanda attended Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1982. She also received her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in August 1983.
Wanda is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, where since 1983 she has served several leadership roles including President of the Baltimore Metropolitan Chapter. She is also a member of Leadership Prince George’s Class of 2010.
She also served on the Leadership Prince George’s Board of Directors where she was involved on the Corporate Council, Finance and Membership Committees. Wanda currently serves on the Reginald F. Lewis College of Business Advisory Board, actively involved in the Mentoring and Fundraising efforts. She is also very involved with the Baltimore Chapters of the American Diabetes Association and the Autism Society.
Wanda and her husband, Curt, live in Glenn Dale, MD with their two sons, Curt, Jr. (CJ) and Marcus.
